General Terms and Conditions

In these Terms and Conditions, Wood Reformer in Switzerland is represented by the sole proprietorship Gelens M, registered at Funkerstrasse 11, 3013 Bern, Switzerland, and hereinafter referred to as “Wood Reformer CH”.

The company is registered in the Swiss Commercial Register under number CH-036.1.107.431-6 and holds VAT number CHE-299.037.935.

Wood Reformer is a trade name of Louis Van Eyck (BE0741541541), with its registered office at Gemslaan 10, 3090 Overijse, Belgium.

These delivery and payment terms apply to all offers and agreements of Wood Reformer CH.

Conclusion of Contract

The purchase agreement is concluded through the electronic acceptance of Wood Reformer’s offer on the website. Acceptance takes place upon receipt of your order via the online order form and/or upon confirmation of payment.

Wood Reformer reserves the right to refuse orders or requests without stating any reason.

Offers on the Website

All offers displayed on the Wood Reformer website remain valid as long as they are shown on the website and while stocks last.

Wood Reformer reserves the right to change the prices of its offers at any time.

All offers are subject to IT, typographical, or printing errors.

Prices

All prices listed by Wood Reformer include 8.1% VAT, shipping costs, and installation, unless expressly stated otherwise.

The prices shown on the Wood Reformer website apply to the products offered, subject to typographical or printing errors.

Images and Product Information

All images, drawings, specifications regarding weights, dimensions, colors, and similar information displayed on the website are approximate only and cannot give rise to any claim for compensation and/or cancellation of the agreement.

Payment

As a general rule, delivery takes place only after full payment has been received, unless otherwise expressly agreed.

Payment may be made using the payment methods offered on the website, such as bank transfer, PayPal, credit card, or TWINT to the account of Wood Reformer CH.

Shipping and Risk

Wood Reformer bears the shipping costs, and installation is carried out by Wood Reformer.

The transportation of products is at the risk of Wood Reformer. Risk transfers to the buyer as soon as the products are made available for collection at the specified delivery address. The buyer is obliged to accept the products upon delivery. If the buyer is absent, the carrier will store the products in accordance with its own policies.

If the buyer refuses delivery or fails to collect the products within the period specified by the carrier, Wood Reformer is entitled to invoice the buyer for the costs incurred by Wood Reformer. These costs include, but are not limited to, transport costs, administrative costs, and depreciation.

Such costs amount to 10% of the principal amount, with a minimum charge of CHF 25.

Delivery

Following receipt of payment, delivery will take place within 14 calendar days. If the delivery period exceeds 14 days, the buyer will be informed accordingly, including the reason for the delay.

The stated delivery periods are to be regarded as commitments to perform and are approximate estimates. Under no circumstances shall exceeding the delivery period entitle the buyer to compensation. If the ordered goods cannot be delivered within 30 days after the originally agreed delivery date, the customer has the right to cancel the order without entitlement to compensation.

Warranty and Conformity

Wood Reformer complies with the applicable legal provisions regarding warranties for delivered products. The warranty shall not exceed the warranty provided by the manufacturer of the supplied product.

Wood Reformer grants a two-year warranty on non-wear parts of its reformers.

No warranty is provided for wear-and-tear parts (such as springs, ropes, upholstery, and other components subject to normal wear), unless a warranty has been expressly granted in writing.

The buyer may not invoke warranty provisions if:

  • The products have been neglected by the buyer or are subject to normal wear and tear.

  • The buyer has made modifications to the products.

  • Improper or negligent use, incorrect connection, lightning damage, moisture damage, or other external influences have occurred.

  • The device has not been used for its intended purpose or in accordance with the user manual.

  • The device has been used with unsuitable accessories.

Retention of Title

Ownership of the products delivered by Wood Reformer remains expressly reserved until the full purchase price, including all ancillary costs, has been paid in full.

Liability

Wood Reformer accepts no liability whatsoever for damage to other equipment belonging to the buyer or third parties caused by a defect in the delivered product.

Wood Reformer shall not be liable in any way for damage to products or persons resulting from improper handling, lack of experience, incorrect assembly, improper use, or use outside the specified guidelines.

Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-Off Period) and Returns

Cancellation Before Shipment: if a cancellation and refund request is submitted before shipment of your Wood Reformer, a processing fee of up to 5% of the total purchase price may be deducted to cover administrative and processing costs.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to this potential deduction in the event of a refund request prior to shipment.

Withdrawal After Delivery

If you are not satisfied with your Wood Reformer, you may request a return within 14 calendar days of delivery.

If the consumer exercises the right of withdrawal, Wood Reformer will refund the payment within 14 calendar days after receiving notice of withdrawal (or after receipt of the returned product).

Return Costs and Conditions

Returns are subject to an additional return shipping fee of CHF 300.

Your Wood Reformer must be returned together with all accessories and in its original packaging in order to qualify for a refund.

The returned Wood Reformer will be inspected upon arrival at the company’s warehouse.

The consumer is liable for any reduction in value of the products resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the products.

Damaged or Incomplete Returns

If your Wood Reformer is returned damaged, with missing parts, or otherwise showing signs of misuse, Wood Reformer reserves the right to refuse a refund or charge additional restocking fees.

Such decisions are made at the sole discretion of Wood Reformer.

Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

Swiss law shall apply to all legal disputes.

In the event of disputes between the buyer and Wood Reformer CH that cannot be resolved amicably, the decision of the competent court shall be binding.

For consumers (private individuals), the competent court is the court of the consumer’s place of residence or habitual residence.

For business customers (B2B), Bern is expressly agreed as the exclusive place of jurisdiction.

Complaints and Disputes

Consumers may submit complaints by email to sales@woodreformer.com.

Wood Reformer will endeavor to respond within 14 days of receipt of the complaint.

If the complaint cannot be resolved, the consumer may use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, available at:
